About the Opportunity

The Division of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery is seeking applicants who wish to pursue an academic career in Head and Neck/Microvascular Surgery at Dalhousie University. The successful fellowship trained candidate will join four other staff surgeons in a well-established multidisciplinary Head and Neck cancer program servicing the Maritime provinces. Protected and fully funded research time is available and encouraged. The Division offers competitive alternate funding compensation combined with a young and vibrant faculty which makes this a tremendous opportunity for interested candidates. Applicants must have a master’s degree and have an interest in basic science research. The successful candidate will become a leader in clinical outcomes research for the head and neck program. Expertise in shared decision making is considered an asset.

The QEII Health Sciences Centre is the principal teaching hospital affiliated with Dalhousie University and a centre for excellence in health care research. It provides core health services to 500,000 Halifax region residents (50% of the population of Nova Scotia) and tertiary and quaternary acute care services to residents of Atlantic Canada.
