THE COMPANY
We are proud to be partnering with a leading firm that has a well-established office in Edmonton, as they search for a skilled and registered Architect to join their dynamic team. This firm is recognized for their success across a range of sectors and is looking for an individual with good leadership skills; able to provide guidance and mentorship to teams and provide leadership to the studio.

THE JOB
As a registered architect with the AAA or eligible to become registered in Alberta, you will be involved in the following:
  1. Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, overseeing work allocation, timesheets, project budgets, and schedules. Work energetically with the project team in planning work and developing solutions to technical and design detail problems.
  2. Liaise with clients through various phases of the project to ensure client satisfaction; project management.
  3. Prepare client presentations and present design concepts and drawings.
  4. Incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects.
  5. Foster and maintain a collaborative professional working relationship with stakeholders.
  6. Write reports and memos to consultants and vendors to issue changes and track resolutions.
  7. Review completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations for coordination.
  8. Participate in team meetings to help resolve project issues, coordination with other disciplines, schedule adherence, and technical issues.
  9. Participate in project reviews.
  10. Communicate in a clear, concise, and professional manner at all times, both verbally and in writing, and will have regular interface with clients.
  11. Participate and lead staff reviews.
You will be able to work on everything from schematic design through to construction phases and work closely with the client to ensure successful project delivery. You will have strong design skills and creative ideas to come up with unique solutions for projects, liaising with clients and various stakeholders. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • 5 - 12 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Possess a broad range of project experience.
  • Good leadership skills, experienced in leading teams and providing mentorship.
  • Excellent design skills, creative and able to work through design issues.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines is essential.
  • Excellent client liaison skills; some business development experience is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Revit, strong sense of design.
  • Strong sense of work ethic, a collaborative approach.
