Purpose

The Leader, Day to Day Banking is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the daily banking services strategy throughout the region. The main goal will be to develop, implement, and optimize products and services aligned with the bank’s business objectives to serve the different segments. This role will closely work with Payroll Leader, Unsecured/Secured Leader, Investment Leader, and Insurance Leader, to ensure consistency of the offered products.


What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute day to day banking product, aligned to segment strategies.
  • Analyze market and industry trends to identify opportunities and risks to ensure local market coordination.
  • Collaborate with marketing, distribution, and technology to ensure digital enablement for products and solutions.
  • Monitor product performance and make necessary adjustments.
  • Develop product-based loyalty and partnership initiatives.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from conceptualization to retirement.
  • Direct day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits.
  • Communicate the Bank’s risk culture and risk appetite statement throughout their teams.
  • Ensure effective operations of respective areas while adhering to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk.
  • Build a high-performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates their team.


What You'll Bring:

  • College/University degree (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the financial industry.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a product development role.

Skills:

  • Strategic thinking: ability to develop and implement effective strategies for lending products.
  • Market Analysis: proficiency in analyzing market trends and identifying opportunities and risks.
  • Product management: strong skills in managing the product lifecycle, from development to retirement.
  • Leadership and influence: capabilities to influence, guide, and inspire the product team and different geographies.
  • Collaboration: ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Retail verticals, Marketing, Distribution, and Technology.
  • Broad knowledge of all aspects of the Bank’s Business Lines and Corporate Functions.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Communication: strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Business Acumen: deep understanding of financial products and lending practices.
  • Customer Focus: ability to understand and anticipate customer needs.


Work Arrangement:

  • The business environment is fast-paced, dynamic, and complex.
  • Role can be demanding with unexpected requests and shifting priorities.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
