The Town of Drumheller is seeking an enthusiastic and industrious individual to join their growing Facilities Team

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

Position Summary: Responsible for operational readiness and maintenance of the Town’s recreation and administrative facilities and buildings. Responsible for the maintaining and repairing of facilities and associated equipment. Perform the duties of all subordinate classifications when not in this capacity.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Class 5 license
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • A good knowledge regarding operation of industrial refrigeration systems would be an asset
  • Preference given to those individuals with direct experience in the plumbing field, and troubleshooting controls and maintenance of HVAC systems, as well as a good understanding of pressure vessels, their processes, limits and controls with hot water and steam boiler systems
  • Pool Operator 1
  • Arena Operator 1
  • Perform other duties as required

Additional Information:
  • Successful Applicant will be required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, 10 year drivers abstract and Vulnerable Sector check
  • Applicants with less qualifications may be considered for Facility Operator In-Training and paid accordingly until they acquire the level of required qualifications for Facility Attendant.
  • Successful applicant will be required to respond within 30 minutes during on call rotation

Hours per Week: 40 hours - includes shift work & weekends, on call as required

Pay Scale: Facility Operator (Training) - $28.62 / Facility Operator - $29.92

Benefits: As per the Town’s HR Policy and CUPE 135 Collective Agreement – which includes extended health, dental, life insurance, AD&D, sick leave, short term and long term disability leave, 3 weeks’ vacation, 13 statutory holidays, personal leave days, $500 annual Wellness Spending account and more

Pensions: Eligible to participate in LAPP effective day 1 of employment
