What you will be doing:
This role leads the Secured Lending product management and sales team and reports to the Director, Lending Solutions. It is responsible for growing the secured lending business as a key driver of deepening our relationships with Tangerine clients. This individual will be responsible for leading the strategy and operationalization of Tangerine's mortgage growth, including HELOC. The role has direct P&L ownership, product and pricing strategy and leads the internal sales team comprised of Manager(s) and account managers. The individual is accountable for financial/non-financial risks, ensuring the adherence to our internal controls and governance of key processes and risks.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Deliver the growth strategy for the secured lending business, aligned with the Bank's vision and strategy
- Determine and manage the key performance and risk indicators for Secured Lending products, including establishing departmental goals, projects and operational initiatives aligned with key business objectives
- Own overall P&L and drive analysis and action to meet financial targets and optimize product performance
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders across the Bank to deliver effective acquisition, engagement and risk management plans that will profitably grow the secured lending business
- Influence the end-to-end client value chain and cross-functional initiatives to continually improve usability and client satisfaction
- Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team.
- Responsible for understanding and complying with the Regulatory Compliance Framework including the Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Financing and Sanctions Policy and all AML related policies, procedures and controls within the department.

Education/Experience
- University degree in business administration, commerce or strategy
- 5-10 years of leadership experience, including building and leading a sales team and leading people managers
- 10+ years of end-to-end mortgage experience across sales, renewals, underwriting, funding and servicing as well as across channels (direct and broker)
- Strong knowledge of mortgage processes, regulatory environment and competitive landscape (products and policies)
- Prior experience developing business strategies and roadmaps
