This position is an integral part of the SolutionAir team. The successful candidate will have a broad set of technical skills and  ready  to make an impact on the development of this business unit. Within our Technical Service team, the candidate will  test the units in factory,  help support field installed units and  troubleshoot  custom air handling equipment.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include:

  • Performing  factory testing .
  • Performing commissioning of systems as  required .
  • Completing  and  maintaining  factory test  reports.
  • Create test procedures and work instructions.
  • Utilizing computer programs to manage service work and generate service reports.
  • Assisting field technicians  with equipment trouble shooting as  required .
  • Proactively self-educating through reading and asking questions.
  • Attending office meetings as  required .
  • Providing consistent, knowledgeable,  timely  communication and support to Customers, both internal and external.
  • Identifying improvement  opportunities in design or process  while performing  test . Once  identified , bring information to  Design appropriate follow-up  and action.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by your manager.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

  • A college degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics  or  Journeyman refrigeration/HVAC technician  or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC experience .
  • Understanding of how to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and control sequences  relative  to today’s sophisticated HVAC equipment.
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and work well
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills, especially breaking down complex requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • The proven ability to take ownership of tasks and from start to delivery, including analysis, estimating, implementation, testing and documentation.
  • The proven ability to work in a team environment with various stakeholders and roles including business analyst, architect, project manager, and quality assurance.
