Assistant Store Manager

OverviewThe Assistant Store Manager will report to the Store Manager and assist in supervising daily store operations to meet goals and business objectives. Responsibilities include staff scheduling, supervision, customer satisfaction, product quality assurance, store maintenance, and health and safety compliance.ResponsibilitiesProvide assistance to store management in supervising and facilitating the daily operations of the store.Oversee the responsibilities of the Store Manager in their absence.Assist in personnel management tasks such as interviews, promotions, performance reviews and disciplinary actions, only when requested.Provide direction, guidance and instruction to all store associates as required.Ensure store conditions meet established standards.Assist in creating weekly staffing schedules; ensure staffing levels meet business needs, only when requested.Liaise with store departments to ensure information is conveyed properly and expectations are communicated.Greet and assist customers in a manner that models exemplary conduct to other staff.Ensure company policies and relevant legislation are adhered to by all staff.Handle customer complaints as they arise, escalating as needed.Ensure health, safety and security regulations are adhered to and standards are met.Oversee and assist in inventory management.Other duties as required.RequirementsMust have valid SellSafe CertificationMinimum of 3 years of work experience in the retail industryMinimum 2 years in a supervisory role in a retail environmentDemonstrated service orientationExcellent time management and prioritizing skillsDemonstrated ability to train and motivate staffSkills to monitor and assess staff performanceBasic office administration skillsHigh level of proficiency with Microsoft OfficeHighly effective teamwork skillsAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organizationStrong customer service and troubleshooting skillsDiplomacyExcellent teamwork and team-building skillsThorough understanding of health and safety legislationProfessional, responsive, and positive work attitudeAbility to work any shift including Monday to Sunday; nights, holidays and weekends; different locationsJob TypesFull-time, PermanentWhy You Should ApplyThe opportunity to work for a growing company positioned to become a globally recognized cannabis brand.Significant opportunity for growth, experience and learningUnlimited bonus earning potentialAdditional notesThe job posting reflects general details required for proper evaluation of the job.
