Mechanical Design & Analysis Engineer – eVTOL Development Mostavio is building the future of advanced air mobility through the safe, all-electric, and autonomous development of manned and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs and eVTOLs). We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design & Analysis Engineer to join our growing team and contribute to the design and performance optimization of our airframe and structural systems. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed CAD models and mechanical designs for airframe structures, mechanical subsystems, and assemblies. Conduct FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and structural simulations to validate designs under aerodynamic, static, and vibrational loads. Analyze and optimize composite and aluminum structures for strength, stiffness, and weight efficiency. Collaborate with electrical, propulsion, and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration across disciplines. Support manufacturing and prototyping, translating design intent into production‑ready parts. Contribute to design reviews and documentation following aerospace engineering standards. Identify opportunities for design innovation and simplification without compromising safety or performance. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, structural analysis, or airframe development (aerospace or advanced mobility preferred). Proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA, or Siemens NX. Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar). Strong understanding of aluminum and composite material properties, joining methods, and fatigue analysis. Knowledge of aerospace design, tolerances, and certification processes. Hands‑on experience in composite fabrication, layup, or prototyping is a strong asset. Excellent problem‑solving, documentation, and teamwork skills. Bonus Skills Experience with topology optimization, lightweight design, or additive manufacturing. Familiarity with thermal and vibration analysis.
