POSITION SUMMARY
You will apply engineering principles to oil & gas product and services to assist in the development of new technologies and to ensure existing technologies are used appropriately. The primary responsibilities are to provide technical support to operations, customers, and sales team, while contributing to the projects within the Innovation and Design team and providing additional technical support to other departments including IT, Procurement, Production, Marketing, and Quality. You will bring a collaborative approach to help drive sales, increase company innovation, and maintain a high level of operational execution. You will have broad strategic thinking abilities, a drive for results, coupled with excellent leadership skills to help the company define its competitive advantages and target to succeed in the oil & gas industry.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
Innovation and Design Support:
Execute feasibility studies, conceptual design, detailed engineering design calculations
Experience or knowledge of pressure vessel designs/construction, process equipment design and maintenance.
Experience and ability to use CFD simulations (using OpenFOAM or other softwares) to understand fluid behavior inside pressure vessels, primarily Sand Separators
Specification of new equipment
Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods, testing finished products and systems, and confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
Provide technical recommendations on the purchase of new equipment and materials.
Leadership and mentorship of junior engineers of simulation and design software (3D CAD / process modelling / Equipment sizing)
Working knowledge of all appropriate Standards and Codes
Support to Sales, Marketing, and Customers:
Deliver technical presentations to customers as required through the sales team
Use CFD simulations to evaluate the well parameters to determine the right Sandtinel units
Evaluate gas samples provided by customers for successful use in the NG Sidekick
Identify and provide safe and reliable solutions for all technical issues to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
Obtain and evaluate customer feedback to develop new products or improve existing offerings.
Create case histories and technical content for marketing documents to promote the company’s capabilities along with the features & benefits of products and services.
Support to Operations:
Assist in the investigation of operational issues. Recommend corrective actions while documenting lessons learned.
Collaborate with operations team to create process document such as standard operating procedures and quality plans
Utilize feedback from the field, develop appropriate solutions that would improve operations by being more efficient and cost-effective.
Participate in initial jobs when new technology is rolled out. Monitor and evaluate new products during initial deployment in the field.
Provide field technical support as required

ABOUT THE INDIVIDUAL
Professional Engineer or very close to becoming one (P. Eng. Or P.E.)
Mechanical Engineering Degree
Experience with CFD simulations using OpenFOAM
Minimum 4+ year experience.
EPCM background with Oil and Gas
Equipment design and maintenance experience
Knowledge of Engineering standards and codes (API, ASME, NACE, ABSA).
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work with a team
Detail oriented and has the ability to manage projects from inception through to completion
Capable of working in an unsupervised environment; proactive; does not wait for instruction
Advocate of life-long learning
The ability to prioritize is a must
Always approachable and professional
Must be a self-starter with a hands-on approach
