A Little About You

  • Registration as a professional engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (or equivalent jurisdiction (e.g. Alberta)
  • Detailed design and construction administration experience for general municipal engineering projects and building site development projects, particularly infrastructure rehabilitation and replacement
  • Client focus – how do you build relationships with and effectively liaise with clients

  • Minimum of ten years’ experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter and team player with ability to work with a variety of simultaneous projects
  • Utility coordination experience
  • Hydraulic modeling experience
  • Familiarity with Civil 3D and ArcGIS

A Little More About the Role

Day to Day Responsibilities:

With a focus on projects in Saskatchewan and providing support to projects for Alberta markets, the successful candidate may work from either the Saskatoon office or remotely from Southern Saskatchewan. Regardless of your location, here is what you can expect to be working on:

  • Planning, analysis and design of urban hydraulic systems
  • Design of site development projects
  • Design of piped systems
  • Grading designs for surface drainage works and roadways
  • General municipal engineering projects, including infrastructure rehabilitation
  • Hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of complex urban drainage systems using state of the art software such as MIKE URBAN, InfoWorks ICM, XP-SWMM, PCSWMM, InfoSWMM, and InfoSewer
  • Modelling of water distribution systems using WaterCAD and InfoWater

Project Delivery

  • Coordination of CAD design technologists to prepare designs
  • Utility coordination and preparation of crossing agreements
  • Preparation of engineering reports, documents, and drawings
  • Ensuring quality procedures are followed for drawings and reports
  • Preparation of procurement documents including specifications
  • Coordination of tendering processes
  • Contract administration of projects during construction
  • Developing and maintaining ongoing client relationships
