Work Shift: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST
Weekly Schedule: Monday to Friday
Work Mode: Hybrid (1-2 days office presence required weekly, remote for the rest)
Contract Duration: Minimum one year
Requirements: Must be a resident of Toronto, Canada, and hold a valid work permit.
Salary: Negotiable (Canadian Dollar), attractive package for skilled and experienced individuals.
Estimated Start Date: June 24, 2024
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
● Database Experience: DB2, IMS, VSAM
● Platform Experience: Cloud, VMC 2.0, UNIX
● Platform Experience: MVS
● Experience with developer tools such as Endevor, TSO, CA7 Scheduling, and Service Now.
● Knowledge of file transfer protocols and tools like EBX and TIBCO mailboxes
● Netron CAP, JAVA, Angular, Powerbuilder
● Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues
● Certifications in relevant mainframe technologies are a plus
Responsibilities● Proven track record of managing mainframe databases and developing mainframe applications.
● Ability to understand and implement business requirements into technical solutions.
● Significant experience on mainframe systems utilizing COBOL, DB2, SAS, SQL and JCL is critical
● Developing, maintaining, and optimizing mainframe applications to support our critical business operations
● Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
