JOB OVERVIEW: We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be part of an amazing team preparing suites for our guests and maintaining a clean and orderly environment for our clients. The successful candidate will be reliable, professional in appearance, have a strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail.
Job Title: Housekeeper Employment: Full-Time Location: Calgary, Alberta
Primary Responsibilities: • Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as move-out cleans, regular cleans, sweeping, mopping, dusting, disinfecting bathrooms, changing linens, cleaning windows and blinds, and maintaining balconies of guest suites including kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living, and dining rooms. • Change, launder, and replenish bed linen, towels, and guest amenities in line with company guidelines and ensuring suites are cleaned to Premiere Suites highest standards. • Notify Guest Services of any additional guest requests. • Handle reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience. • Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices. Day to day responsibilities: • Notify manager of any damage and deficits and submit maintenance requests. • Replace light bulbs and report bulb changes for inaccessible places. • Replenish inventory and complete clean supply in units in line with company policies. • Ascertain that housekeeping bags are properly and adequately kept. • Report any security issues or problems. • Accurately fill out inventory checklists and inspection paperwork. • Assist with packing inventory for the setup of new suites. • Record and hand lost and found items to the manager. • Participate in on-call rotation and coverage with office staff. • Weekly cleaning of the office. • Maintain organization of warehouse stock. • Conduct monthly linen inventory counts and advise the manager when stock is low. • Perform any other duties requested by management.
Qualifications: Experience: 3+ years of experience in housekeeping and/or laundry. Availability: Available Monday to Friday, between 8am and 5pm.
Skills: • Good communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English. • Demonstrated ability to earn and retain trust. Requirements: • Must be able to move objects weighing less than or equal to 40 pounds and transport housekeeping supplies, including linens to guest suites. • Must be bondable.
