White Ash Group is currently recruiting for their next Director of National Sales, a pivotal role responsible for driving sales growth, managing key accounts, and leading a dynamic sales team. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the C-Suite to execute strategic initiatives and ensure the company’s continued success in the market.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key retailers and distributors (government bodies) across the country, with a focus on the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and other strategic markets.
  • Hire, manage, coach, and lead a team of sales representatives, ensuring they meet or exceed sales targets and objectives.
  • Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement within the sales team.
  • Develop and implement key account strategies that enhance client outcomes, capture market opportunities, and expand market share.
  • Identify and capitalize on distribution opportunities to maximize sales volume through strategic partnerships, increased product visibility, and exceptional service.
  • Utilize sales data and CRM tools to monitor and drive team performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize results.
  • Establish and manage sales key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets for the team, regularly reviewing progress and adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Effectively manage the sales budget, ensuring that expenses are controlled while maximizing return on investment.
  • Report on budget performance and provide recommendations for adjustments to senior leadership.
  • Identify and pursue new sales leads, including sponsorship opportunities, to expand the company’s market presence.
  • Attend industry events and conferences to network, promote the brand, and stay informed about market trends.
  • Develop and manage a sales route plan to optimize efficiency across the team’s assigned territories.
  • Create and distribute monthly sales activity reports to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations based on performance metrics.
  • Present findings to the C-Suite and board.
  • Sample KPIs include monthly sales and distribution metrics, adherence to sales activity reporting schedules, and achievement of sales targets.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5+ years of sales leadership experience, with a proven track record of success in the cannabis industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage key accounts and lead high-performing sales teams.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both team members and clients.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales performance management tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and support the sales team.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with a focus on team development and performance improvement.
