About the Opportunity

Miramar General Contracting Inc. is looking for a full-time Master Electrician based in St. Catharines, ON.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and growing the electrical division of our company.

In this position, you will be primarily responsible for managing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs, while ensuring compliance with all local and provincial electrical codes.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assuming responsibility for the complete electrical division of our company
• Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems according to standards
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
• Providing guidance and supervision to electricians and apprentices.
• Scheduling work for journeyman and apprentice electricians
• Developing and growing our electrical division
• Collaborating with other construction professionals to integrate electrical systems into projects
• Troubleshooting electrical malfunctions and performing necessary repairs or replacements

About You

To qualify, you will must be a licensed Master Electrician issued by the ESA, with 5 years of experience in residential and commercial environments. A combination of skills and experience will be considered. A valid driver's license will also be required.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues
• Bucket Truck (Aerial Lift) Training (asset)
• Capability to assign work details, including scheduling and overseeing safety and training programs
• Knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations
• In-depth understanding of industrial electrical systems and components
• Proven ability to supervise and guide apprentice electricians
• Effective communication of technical information to clients and colleagues
