  2. Carry out studies, design, and detailed engineering tasks

  1. Help prepare engineering documents for projects in sectors such as industrial, mining, renewable energy, etc.
  2. Design steel and concrete foundations and structures
  3. Coordinate design activities with other disciplines
  4. Prepare estimates, technical specifications, and reports
  5. Participate in quality control of work carried out by technicians and drafters
  6. Help with estimates, schedules, budgets, planning, organizing, and evaluating work
  7. Supervise site work when required
  8. Carry out technical duties to assist with projects
  9. Maintain relations with clients or their representatives

Overview of certifications and job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Registered as an engineer with EGBC
  • Previous exposure to designing steel and/or concrete structures
  • Experience with structural analysis software
  • Ability to read drawings and supervise work sites
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office
  • Creativity and innovation in finding solutions
  • Availability for occasional travel to client sites
  • Asset: Experience with finite element analysis
  • Asset: Bilingual (English and French)
