Schedule: Part-Time and Full-Time 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM, 1:00 PM - 9:00 PM, 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM

Position Overview:

As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our entertainment and gaming complex. Your responsibilities include monitoring and responding to security concerns, enforcing policies, and maintaining a secure environment for our guests and team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Monitor the access to Playground by escorting visitors and inspecting bags.
  • Verify customers’ identification and confirm they meet legal standards.
  • Ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel and guests.
  • Identify and report any misconduct.
  • Intervene, diffuse and perform removals in problematic situations.
  • Actively communicate with team members via radio or in person to keep personnel informed of suspicious activities.
  • Interact with the Peacekeepers, when necessary, to maintain the security of all individuals.
  • Conduct First Aid or CPR in emergency situations.
  • Intervene with disturbances and intoxication of guests.
  • Create daily reports by recording all incidents.
  • Patrol premises (interior and exterior) to maintain a safe environment.
  • Adhere and comply with the company's policies and procedures, as well as conduct floor inspections to ensure compliance with our safety policies ensuring physical distancing protocols are being followed throughout the gaming floor.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills in English (French is an asset) & 25 years and older.
  • Must have a valid work permit or be a Canadian resident.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous working experience as an officer required (2 years).
  • Experience in martial arts is an asset.
  • Valid Certificate in First Aid and CPR.
  • Physical ability to carry heavy items and stand for long hours.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
