A Machine Learning Engineer's Impact

You are an essential part of the team, your main focus is to create models for our players that makes the game experiences even more fun You will be in the center of the action, integrating those models directly into the game to create personalized journeys that further engages the player.

Aside from your role as Machine Learning Engineer you also are part of the Game Features Team where you will be programming new features and modules within the game.

What you'll do:

Code:

  • Developing, deploying and training machine learning models such as player behavioral analysis, personalization, adaptive gameplay, etc.
  • Data collection and preprocessing ensuring its quality and suitability for analysis.
  • Integrating machine learning models into the game's codebase and ensuring compatibility with the game engine and mobile platforms.
  • Developing algorithms that dynamically adjust game difficulty, challenges, or rewards based on player performance and progression.
  • Real-time inference optimization machine learning models for mobile devices, considering resource constraints like processing power and memory.
  • Developing anti-cheating measures algorithms to detect cheating behaviors, unauthorized practices, or anomalies in player actions
  • Write a clear, scalable, maintainable and well-structured C++ code and participate in peer code-reviews

Analytics:

  • Analyzing player behavior patterns to gain insights into engagement, progression, preferences, and interactions.
  • Proactively come up with actionable analyses across game design, monetization strategies, marketing strategies
  • Use quantitative analysis to understand how the game is played and identify impact and growth opportunities
  • Work on advanced analytical models like LTV, Churn, Segmentation

Game:

  • Craft great high-quality features and tech that help players enjoy our games more
  • Drive the development of big and complex new features
  • Maintain and optimize new and existing game features
  • Develop technical solutions that answer to the game’s needs
  • Ship production grade mobile games used by millions of gamers

Share/Learn:

  • Collaborate with programmers, game design, product management, marketing, etc.
  • Work closely with the team on shared goals while individually delivering complete work
  • Continue to learn and hone skills while staying up to date with technical advancements
  • Share your knowledge with your Squad
  • Be passionate and brainstorm new ideas together with your team to continually iterate and improve user experience of our games
What we're looking for:
  • 3+ years experience in ML engineering
  • 3+ years experience in data engineering
  • 3+ years experience as senior Java/Scala/Python developer
  • 5+ years of professional experience in C++
  • Experience using machine learning libraries or platforms, including Tensorflow, Pytorch, Shark, Keras, Pandas, Scikit- Learn, xgboost, or ML Lib for production or commercial products.
  • Extensive knowledge in ML practices - AI Monitoring, Pipeline orchestration, etc
  • Experienced with current SW development practices (Unit testing, TDD, source control, CI, CD, deployment automation)
  • Self-motivated, focused, and energetic person with a passion for technology
  • Thrive on change and can adapt to changing needs and requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A true lover of games, an avid gamer of mobile, console, pc games
  • Good understanding of container and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Relevant background and advanced knowledge of statistics, visualization, programming, or related skills
  • Experience with ZenML, Kubeflow, MLflow
  • Mobile experience (iOS and Android): ability to debug native device issues, strong understanding of hardware and platform limitations, performance metrics, etc.
  • Experience with BI tools to visualize data like Tableau, Oracle BI etc
  • Familiarity with working in a scrum/agile environment.
  • Broad understanding of games programming in various areas of game programming like gameplay, graphics, UI, tools etc.
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, Mathematics or related field.
