Techmation Electric & Controls Ltd is currently hiring a motivated and committed Safety Advisor for our Airdrie branch. This is a field position; therefore, travel will be required. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience working within the construction industry. Techmation works on a variety of industrial oil and gas construction and maintenance projects throughout Western Canada.

As a successful applicant, you will have the opportunity to work on full-time, long-term industrial projects with well-established and reputable clients.

Requirements:
  1. NCSO Designation is required
  2. Considerable experience working within the construction industry (minimum of five years)
  3. Electrical or Instrumentation experience or designation (Electrical or Instrumentation Trade Certificate) is considered an asset
  4. Previous management experience is an asset
  5. Familiar with Alberta & British Columbia WCB
  6. Familiar with Alberta & British Columbia OHS Legislation
  7. Familiar with CSA Z460
  8. Familiar with CSA Z462
  9. Candidates must have valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid, CSTS 2020 Fundamentals, and Driving & Journey Management certificates
  10. Must have a flexible work schedule - shift work, overtime, weekends, and travel
  11. Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean driving record
  12. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  13. Must be self-motivated and a self-starter
  14. Able to work with little to no supervision
  15. Must have effective time management skills
