The RoleWe are looking for an Account Director to join our team here in Calgary. This person will be supporting several of our marquis global and Canadian brands in the development of best in class digital and traditional marketing.We are looking for someone who can independently run initiatives, and support in brand planning. This person will take a leadership role on the day-to-day management of the client’s business, looking beyond their marketing needs as a proactive partner in reaching their objectives. The Account Director works closely with creative, strategy and production to champion big ideas and make them a reality. What you will do…Help lead the brand and clients across multiple integrated touch points, as they look to continue to push the boundaries of creative deliverablesDrive the brand forward in a highly competitive and fast-paced environmentDevelop strong relationships with clients across various disciplines and business areas throughout the organization, as well as agency counterparts on the Creative, Strategy and Production teamsWork across the extended McCann Worldgroup network of agencies to champion integration of the business, leveraging a variety of expertise in support of the clientServe as an advocate and coach to the account team to help the day-to-day business run smoothly Who you will be…Bachelor’s degree in related field required5+ years related experience in marketing3+ years agency experience preferredExperience working with high touch clients in a highly matrixed organizationExperience working on a fast paced business in a highly competitive and evolving industryExperience in executing broadcast mediums preferredSuccessful and resourceful client manager with an ability to build relationships and business effectivelyPrevious experience guiding integrated multi-disciplinary teams to meet client goals – successful with time management and clear delegationOrganized with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently between accounts and projectsThe CompanyMcCann Worldgroup Canada is committed to a diverse workforce as an Employment Equity employer (Women, People with Disabilities, Aboriginal Peoples, and Visible Minorities) and aims to maintain an inclusive and equitable workplace where employees feel valued, respected, and supported.
