Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manager, Project Accountant to oversee the financial management of projects. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of project accounts, providing accurate and timely financial reports, and supporting project managers in budgeting and financial planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the financial aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Monitor project expenditures and financial performance, identifying variances and providing recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop financial plans and strategies for new and ongoing projects.
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing, billing, and collection processes.
  • Perform regular audits and reconciliations of project accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to project teams, assisting with financial decision-making and risk management.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in project accounting or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
