Toronto, Canada Audera Acoustics Inc. Full time

Design, coding, testing and debugging, version control (GIT etc.), collaboration, documentation, and maintenance of C, C++, and C# software in PCs, and embedded systems for audio product electronic systems including amplifiers and power supplies for a wide variety of active loudspeaker products including: desktop audio, tablets, smart speakers, headphones, smart phones, and tactical radios.
Responsibilities:

1. Software design and coding (including debugging and documenting) in C++ and C# coding using Microsoft Visual Studio and hardware specific IDEs
2. Management of the complete software development life-cycle, including: design, verification testing and production support
3. Lay out problems and approaches in usable specifications
4. Documentation and archiving

Experience requirements:

Must have :
1. BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline
2. 5+ years software development engineering experience. Recent MSc and PhD graduates will be considered
3. Hands-on Design/Coding experience with C#, C++ coding for real-time processing algorithms running on PCs and Embedded systems and DSP hardware
4. Strong communication skills, including the ability to discuss complex technical issues with non-experts
5. Ability to work independently and with a team located in the Canada, U.S. and Taiwan

Benefit to have:

3. Experience with audio software systems including USB Audio streaming and ASIO functionality, real-time audio processing on PC hardware with PC OS, real-time Audio processing and on ARM based embedded systems
4. Experience with Matlab in the development of DSP algorithms

This position will focus on Audera's WaveLock™ technology which combines algorithms and novel acoustic transducer designs with DSP algorithms and a Windows “Forms” GUI App to improve voice performance and produce loud, rich sound from small format audio systems. Remote work location acceptable.
