Opportunity:We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Manager in our Platform group that plays a critical role in Intercom's strategy. Responsibilities include:
- Building flexible and powerful APIs for easy data integration into Intercom.
- Developing integrations with top-tier partners like SFDC, Stripe, or Shopify.
- Executing an interoperability strategy for enterprise data storage solutions.
As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will:
- Lead a team working on high-scale distributed systems for public data APIs and integrations.
- Work closely with customers and external developers to enhance platform adoption.
- Ship new capabilities reliably, safely, and quickly in alignment with company culture.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and design leaders to shape team direction and strategy.
- Enable your team to achieve high levels of productivity, performance, and reliability.
- Mentor, coach, and be a role model for engineers and other engineering managers.
- Create a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team culture focused on high-impact execution.
Key skills for this role:
- Strong people management skills with a track record of growing engineers.
- Experience in leading teams building for internal and external developers.
- Experience in delivering lasting APIs for public developer platforms or private integrations.
- Working with or building highly scalable systems in a safe and reliable manner.
