TITLE CONTRACT DURATION 3 months (immediate start with potential for extension) THE PERKS Flexible Hours LOCATION Toronto, ON PAY RATE $45 TO $70 per hour THE OFFICE Hybrid (3 Days a Week in Office) THE ROLE A hands-on individual contributor role focused on year-end close support, cash flow management, general accounting operations, and financial reporting for a growing company during a critical high-volume period. Year-End Close & General Accounting (45%) Cash Flow Management & Financial Reporting (35%) Month-End Support & Reconciliations (20%) THE TASKS Year-End Close & General Accounting May include, but not be limited to, the following tasks: Execute year-end close processes including complex journal entries Complete account reconciliations and variance analysis Prepare consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules Support year-end audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal control procedures Cash Flow Management & Financial Reporting May include, but not be limited to, the following tasks: Prepare and analyze cash flow forecasts and reporting Develop management reporting packages and financial analysis for stakeholders Create visualizations, dashboards, and reports to present financial data in clear formats Conduct financial analysis to uncover trends and support business decision-making Research accounting guidance for technical matters as needed Month-End Support & Reconciliations May include, but not be limited to, the following tasks: Prepare journal entries for inventory accounting and bespoke revenue arrangements Support month-end closing activities including general ledger maintenance Complete balance sheet reconciliations Partner with cross-functional teams to validate transactions and resolve discrepancies THE COMPANY A Private Equity-backed organization operating in a dynamic corporate environment with sophisticated financial reporting requirements. THE SKILL SET CPA designation (or actively pursuing) required 3-5+ years of financial reporting and general accounting experience Strong technical accounting knowledge with IFRS and/or US GAAP expertise Experience with cash flow forecasting and financial analysis Proficiency in financial systems and Excel; experience with data visualization tools an asset Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams ONLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONTACTED.
