Director of Operations needed in North York $160K, join a fantastic executive team

Agilus is recruiting for a Director of Operations in the biometrics field in North York, Ontario. Our client in the biometrics space is actively hiring for a Director of Operations to join their executive team in North York. This is the perfect role for someone with 10+ years of experience in leadership who is looking to keep growing and developing.

Responsibilities:
  1. Overseeing logistics and the technical support team, ensuring operational excellence
  2. 20 direct reports – managing, mentoring, training, fostering collaboration and alignment
  3. Implementing a new ERP system
  4. Participate in generating high-level goals, creating/leading strategic initiatives, identifying and mitigating risks, and contributing to funding decisions
  5. Managing the budgets
  6. Develop, manage, and lead projects and programs, monitor costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  7. Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain and efficient procurement processes
  8. Managing the production team, manufacturing and inventory
Requirements:
  1. 10+ years of experience in senior leadership in operations, and 20 years of experience in access control or electric products
  2. Post-secondary education, ideally in electrical engineering with management courses completed
  3. Excellent negotiation skills
  4. Available for a lot of travel outside the country
  5. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing operational strategies that align with the organization's goals and drive business results
  6. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and integrate operations with other business functions to achieve collective objectives
