Our offices in Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton offer superior Commercial & Residential Roofing, Siding & Building Envelope Services, Traffic Coatings Application & Commercial Below Ground Waterproofing.Position:We are currently looking to hire a Senior Estimator - Cladding to join our growing team. Projects vary from residential multifamily to commercial/ industrial work. Scope of work includes architectural facades and metal roofing systems. Hours are Monday-Friday 6:30 am-4:30pm.Our Ideal candidate will be a reliable and responsible person who can work efficiently in a team atmosphere, using their knowledge and skills to achieve the task at hand. A safe professional mentality and solid work ethic are important to our company culture. Candidate must have a minimum of 5 year of estimating experience in building envelope scope of work.Key responsibilities:Send bids accurately and on time.Review project blueprints and specificationsReview contract documents for management review.Perform occasional site reviews to get familiar with each project.Conduct comprehensive quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.Lead bid preparation and coordination.Review contracts.Utilize quantity take-off software and tools. Proficiency with Planswift is an asset.Analyze historical data, market trends, and benchmarks.Research alternative materials and construction methods.Mentor and guide junior estimators.Lead value engineering efforts.Present cost estimates and reports to management and clients.Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.Stay updated with industry advancements and regulations.Improve estimating processes and guidelines.Participate in post-project reviews.Support business development activities.Assist in subcontractor selection.Contribute to standardized estimating tools.Provide expertise for complex projects.Coordinate with estimating team members.Enhance professional skills and knowledge.Assets:Building Envelope experience (5+ years)Strong skills in Excel, Word and on Screen Take-Off SoftwareAbility to read plans and specificationsValid Driver’s License requiredTraining can/will be provided for any hired candidatesWhat United Roofing can offer you:Positive and Enjoyable Work EnvironmentIndustry Competitive WagesTraining and Certification (Tickets, Skills, Apprenticeship, etc.)Paths to Advancement Within CompanyCo-pay Health Insurance (After 3 Months)Company Cell Phone2 weeks paid vacationYearly bonus based on employee performanceBenefits:Disability insuranceExtended health careLife insuranceOn-site gymOn-site parking
