Reliability Engineer - Rotating

On behalf of our client, Procom is seeking a dedicated and experienced Intermediate Reliability Engineer - Rotating to join the Downstream business unit in Calgary. This is a 12 month Contract.

Reliability Engineer - Rotating Job Details

This role focuses on enhancing the reliability and performance of our assets through strategic planning and optimization efforts. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in mechanical engineering, with specific expertise in rotating equipment and asset strategy development utilizing GE APM / Meridium. This position entails developing and implementing comprehensive asset reliability strategies to optimize performance, reduce downtime, and minimize maintenance costs. Responsibilities include leading asset strategy development, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and contributing to analytical model development to predict equipment reliability and performance degradation.

Reliability Engineer - Rotating Mandatory Skills

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, registered as a Professional Engineer in Alberta.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in an Oil and Gas Refinery or similar environment focusing on reliability/maintenance and/or operations.
• Proficient in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Reliability Analytics, and developing and implementing Asset Strategies using tools like RCM and FMEA.
• Extensive knowledge of API, ASME, and ISO14224 standards.
• Experience with GE APM (Meridium), SAP Plant Maintenance Module, and developing spares strategies based on asset recommendations.

Reliability Engineer - Rotating Desired Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to develop predictive maintenance strategies and analyze data to provide recommendations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams and influencing site reliability engineers.
• Experience in developing asset health indicators and monitoring systems in Asset Performance Management software is preferred.
