Qualifications
  • We are seeking a candidate who possesses a Library Technician Diploma; a combination of other related training and work experience may also be considered.

  • Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work within a collaborative environment.

  • Proven experience delivering a high level of client service.

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

  • Familiarity with library-specific software is an asset.

Responsibilities

Acadia seeks an Interlibrary Loans Assistant in the Vaughan Memorial Library to fill a 9-month limited term contract. The Interlibrary Loans (ILL) Assistant facilitates the borrowing and lending of material between the Vaughan Memorial Library and other University and public libraries. The ILL Assistant will use citations and submitted requests to fill orders and manage the delivery between the lending institutions and patrons, and deal with any issues that may arise.

This role entails performing various project-based tasks, potentially involving collaboration with other library units. This encompasses both short-term and long-term projects essential for enhancing the library's operational efficiency and service quality.
