Job DescriptionWe currently have an opening for an Instrumentation and Controls (Automation) Engineer or Technologist in either Vancouver, Victoria, or Kelowna office to join our growing team.
- Preparing control architect and process control narratives alongside the process engineers.
- Analysis, design, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems installations. Installations may include advanced process controls, distributed control systems, drives, program logic controllers, supervisory control and data acquisition systems, human/machine interfaces (HMI), programming, and all associated work related to infrastructure and building projects.
- Supporting business development activities of the company.
- Preparing design reports at different design stages.
- Supervising, mentoring and coordination of the engineering work for junior staff.
- Conducting site visits during construction and commissioning of the facilities and preparing reports.
- Overseeing the drawing production and preparing specifications for systems to be included in tender packages.
What you bring to the table:
- An undergraduate degree or diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- 5+ years of progressive experience is preferred.
- Registered, or eligible for immediate registration as a P.Eng. with EGBC or AstBC.
- Demonstrates leadership qualities and ability to work independently.
- Demonstrates the ability to work with a team of professionals in a complex environment, dealing with multiple projects and clients.
- Demonstrated experience with PLC programming in different environments and HMI configuration.
- Experience in marketing and business development.
- Thorough understanding of piping and instrumentation drawings, process control narratives and ISA standards.
- Committed team player and self-motivated.
- Experience with Revit MEP and Elecdes Suite is an asset.
- Proven technical skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of electrical service and motor control centers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as demonstrated through client and staff relations.

The salary range for this position is $79,040.00 to $108,160.00 and is commensurate with experience relative to this position.
