Trainee Security Engineer (Peterborough) - Zitko Talent

Zitko Talent are delighted to be working with a range of electronic security systems installers who are looking to hire the next wave of Trainee Security Engineers.

As a Trainee Security Engineer, you’ll learn more about an industry which is all about ensuring safety and protection of people’s lives and livelihoods. This includes CCTV cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems. The industry is continuously growing and is going from strength to strength, so it's a great career to get into State of the art technology is pushing the industry forwards, meaning longer-term career potential is genuinely exciting.

The Zitko Talent Programme combines training and employment, meaning you’ll receive nationally recognised qualifications and manufacturer certification whilst being employed and trained on the job. You’ll receive a competitive salary of up to £25,000 per year plus benefits (overtime, travel time, company vehicle, pension, healthcare, etc.).

Duties could include the installation, service and maintenance of electronic security systems in a range of client premises which could include shopping centres, football stadiums, hospitals, data centres, and high-security environments.

Requirements

  • Ideally you’ll have transferable experience, qualifications, and/or skills gained from work experience or education.
  • Experience in a practical/hands-on role would be a bonus, but not essential. This could include electrical, mechanical, telecoms, aviation, automotive, plumbing, and any other practical or technical role.
  • You’ll also have previous customer-facing experience and good communication skills, as well as a desire to work in a technical industry and a practical hands-on role.
  • Above all else, we're looking for individuals with a fantastic attitude, a desire to learn, who is willing to go the extra mile.
  • You must have a clear criminal record and hold a full UK driving licence.
