Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Estimator - Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics (FRP) at Industrial Plastics Fabricators Ltd in Brampton, ON, with occassional Travel to our sister company Universal Fan & Blower in Bloomfield ON. The Junior Estimator will be responsible for day-to-day tasks related to estimating FRP projects, conducting material and cost analysis, collaborating with different departments, and preparing project bids.

Qualifications

  • Estimating, Cost Analysis, and Project Bidding skills
  • Knowledge of Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics (FRP) materials
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Source high quality and cost competitive materials for estimates
  • Prepare purchase orders for materials related to all company projects
  • Identify new material supplier for quality, lead-time and price to onboard into the supplier database, to keep our estimates competitive.
  • Perform weekly reviews on Critical Inventory Stock, and Order new inventory when levels are low
  • Assist in Performing Quarterly and Annual Inventory Reviews
  • Liaises with customers on all estimating related aspects
  • Liaises with vendors and suppliers as needed
  • Other duties as required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in the plastics or manufacturing industry is a plus
  • Diploma or degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
