Our client is looking for a Senior Estimator for their company located in Langley, BC. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Construction Estimator to join their team. Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 year experience reading blue prints and take-offs.
  • Experience in construction estimating is required.
  • Experience in customer sales
  • Proficient in Bluebeam, Excel and Word.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
  • In-depth knowledge of construction estimating principles, practices, and techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and other construction documents
  • Strong mathematical skills for accurate quantity takeoffs and cost calculations
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in cost estimates
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and supplier
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required
  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for commercial and multi-family flat roofing and waterproofing projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
  • Create comprehensive bid proposals that outline the scope of work, pricing breakdowns, and any special considerations
  • Review project budgets and make adjustments as necessary throughout the estimating process
