Position Overview: The Inside Product Support Representative is responsible for the growth of the after-market products sold by Finning to an assigned customer base, assigned categories and specific opportunities. Using a consultative selling approach, achieve transaction sales targets by understanding our customer's unique business and needs.
This person will support our Power Systems Division.
Job Description:
- Build positive relationships with new and lapsed customers to meet or exceed annual parts sales targets while achieving required profitability.
- Develop cash sales and new prospect accounts into regular customers.
- Accountable for the successful sale of parts solutions to assigned customer base/product categories and regions. 150-200+ high volume customer base with 2M+ sales.
- Fully engage with customers on every sales call to understand the customer needs and how Finning can support them.
- Maintain accurate records of account details and equipment population and record, manage and report on activities and opportunities using Saleslink.
- Work with the extended product support network including outside Product Support representatives, inside sales representatives and parts order entry teams.
- Be an advocate for our E-commerce platform to increase online sales.
- Convert leads generated by Data Algorithms and Marketing activities.
Education & Experience:
- The ideal candidate will have technical sales experience in one or more Power Systems industries (Electrical Power, Industrial, O&G and Marine).
- 7+ years in the heavy equipment industry is an asset.
- 7+ years in sales or customer-facing roles.
- Strong sales orientation and drive.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Good computer skills essential and the ability to learn new systems.
