(CAN) Food Lead Department Manager

Position Summary: To assist in the leadership of the Food areas and department processes through partnership with the Food Assistant Manager and ensure a high level of customer service while ensuring task completion.
What You'll Do:
- Providing excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.
- Assists in providing direction and the co-ordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the Food Assistant Manager and the Store Management Team.
- Assesses the overall presentation of Food Departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executes merchandising display changes where required.
- Delegate, assist and follow up on completion of daily Customer Availability Process tasks.
- Support with scheduling as needed.
- Assign Associates to support with coverage and availability tasks in all areas of the store.
- Participates in the training and development of the Food Associates, and provides feedback as needed.
- Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard-free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris.
Minimum Qualifications:
Age – 16 or older
