Northern Steel is seeking immediately, experienced Journeyman Welders. We are a union shop with full benefit package, competitive rates and pension plan. All work is in our Prince George shop so no travel is required. Come join a great, experienced and innovative team.
Qualifications- Experience in a fabricating/welding environment (5 years preferred)
- Ability to interpret fabrication drawings
- Effective English reading and communication
- Detail oriented, dedicated and reliable
- Works well both independently and as part of a team
- A great, positive attitude and optimism in work and life
- Subarc experience considered an asset.
- $3/hour Pension (vested after 2 years)
- Extended Health (starts at date of employment)
- Dental (3 month waiting period) 100% basic / 70% major coverage
- Life (3 month waiting period)
- Short Term Disability (3 month waiting period)
- Long Term Disability (3 month waiting period, employee pays $20/mo)
- Probation is based per Union contract
