*Day-to-day Responsibilities*

The Service technicians’ duties include, but are not limited to:

*Maintenance:*

· Conduct regular system checks and maintenance to uphold optimal operation and safety.

· Replace filters, coils, and components to maintain proper airflow and system efficiency.

· Monitor and adjust refrigerant levels for peak performance.

· Apply lubrication to moving parts to prevent wear and friction.

*Problem Solving and Repairs:*

· Investigate and diagnose HVAC system issues, including identifying faulty parts, leaks, and malfunctions.

· Fix or swap out damaged components like fans, belts, motors, compressors, and thermostats.

· Validate system functionality after repairs.

*Client Interaction:*

· Engage with clients to comprehend their heating and cooling needs and address their concerns.

· Provide guidance on repair, maintenance, or upgrade options.

· Clearly explain repair procedures and respond to queries.

· Recommend services or treatments to make customers home more comfortable.

*Documentation:*

· Maintain precise records of maintenance, installations, and repairs.

· Generate service reports outlining completed work and suggesting future actions.

*Safety and Compliance:*

· Adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and uphold compliance with local building codes.

· Follow regulations during repairs and installations.

*Continuous Learning:*

· Stay current on HVAC advancements, techniques, and industry trends.

· Attend training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

*Team Collaboration:*

· Collaborate with colleagues, contractors, and team members on large projects or complex installations.

*Equipment Care:*

· Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in good condition and well-organized.

· In essence, HVAC service technicians are vital in preserving indoor comfort and functionality. Their role encompasses maintaining, repairing, and installing HVAC systems, contributing to energy efficiency, safety, and the overall quality of indoor environments.

*Qualifications*

● Minimum of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent

● Post-secondary education in operations management, business or related field considered an asset.

● Previous experience in the HVAC field with a minimum of a G2 Gas License

● Previous supervisory experience

● Valid G-Class Drivers Licence

● Excellent oral and written communication and organization skills

● Strong written and spoken communication skills, including professional phone and email etiquette

● Outstanding interpersonal relationship building

● Demonstrated ability to take initiative and stay motivated

● Demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations professionally and make quick, effective decisions

*Hours*

The service technician will work 40 hours per week with varying shifts between 7am-7pm. Must be available for weekend work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 38 per week
