On behalf of our client, MatchBox Consulting Group is actively seeking a Senior/Intermediate Estimator for a very high profile General Contractor. They have a wide variety of projects all over BC. Responsibilities- Understand and collaborate to establish unit costs, labor rates, productivity factors and location impacts with the estimating team
- Prepare quantity take-offs and estimates, including preparation of estimates for conceptual designs
- Review and compare estimates of construction costs through all estimating phases to prior estimates for variances and changes. Adjust future estimates to reflect actual costs through design processes
- Conduct materials and pricing research
- Assist in maintaining preferred vendor, supplier, trade and estimating databases
- 4+ years of experience in construction estimating
- Gold Seal Intern in Estimating, an asset
- Bachelor of Engineering, Certificate in Engineering Technologies, or equivalent, an asset
Qualification Requirements:
Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
Experience:
Sound knowledge of MS Office suite, specifically Excel, Outlook and Project
Experience with Timberline, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Plansource, and Plan Grid, an asset
