What might a typical day look like?

As an Accounting Technician, you will be required to:

  • Process changes to employee files (hires, terminations, changes to terms and conditions of employment, benefits, records of employment, etc.);
  • Follow up on vacation, statutory holiday, and sick leave banks;
  • Collaborate and participate in the year-end process (analyze discrepancies, make corrections when required) in the production of tax slips;
  • Produce payroll for all employees according to the established schedule and process special files, such as preventative withdrawals, work accidents, maternity leaves, and disabilities.
