A Data Engineer at Tactable is a professional with a deep understanding of python, data pipelines, and various types of data storage. In this role, you’ll take the lead in building data pipelines used to ingest the information that fuels models and trading systems.Responsibilities:Work with proprietary tools and technologies including time series databases, job scheduling, cloud storage, containers/images, batch schedulers, and ETL toolsOnboard and integrate new data sourcesMigrate existing data pipelines to new architecturesBreak down large tasks into manageable components and drive them to completionLead from a technical perspective and support a team of data engineers with mentoring and guidanceDesign and maintain automation of workflows and processes to boost team efficiency and enforce standardizationWrite excellent documentation for yourself, your team, as well as our clientsRequired Core Skills:5+ years of experience in software developmentProficiency in Python or similar programming languages (TypeScript, Java, C#, etc.)Proficiency with data processing frameworks such as PySpark and PandasProficiency with data storage, including relational and non-relational databasesDemonstrated ability to handle complex tasks and projects independentlyStrong problem-solving skills, including the ability to research and troubleshoot effectivelyOther Skills:Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experienceExperience with data workflow management toolsStrong communication and teamwork skillsStrong time management skills and ability to manage multiple workstreamsWhat We Offer:Hybrid working modelComprehensive Health BenefitsGenerous holidays and flexible PTOLaptop/Equipment providedPotential for professional growth and advancement
