THE ROLE

Apply Digital is seeking a specialized Data Engineer with a focus on CRM and Marketing Automation to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize data infrastructures for our clients, particularly in the realms of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Marketing Automation. Your expertise in data engineering, combined with your experience in Snowflake, AWS data infrastructure, and marketing automation platforms like Braze, will be crucial in orchestrating effective marketing campaigns and audience segmentation. This position requires excellent communication skills for stakeholder interaction and a passion for leveraging technology in dynamic environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design and implement data solutions to support CRM and marketing automation functions, including audience segmentation and campaign orchestration.
  • Work closely with internal teams, vendors, and clients to define data requirements and select appropriate technology stacks for CRM and marketing projects.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications, focusing on data streams, integrations, transformations, and data warehouse solutions.
  • Establish and maintain data architecture frameworks, standards, and principles within the CRM and marketing domains.
  • Develop and manage data pipelines specifically designed for marketing data sources and destinations, such as Snowflake and AWS.
  • Integrate and manage data from marketing automation platforms like Braze.
  • Ensure optimal extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes for diverse data sources, tailored to marketing and CRM needs.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand and deliver on data requirements for marketing and CRM strategies.
  • Optimize existing data architectures to enhance performance and scalability in marketing contexts.
  • Plan and execute data migration activities for CRM and marketing systems, encompassing both current and historical data.
  • Employ best practices in data management, security, and privacy, with a focus on marketing data.
REQUIREMENTS
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on CRM and marketing automation platforms like Snowflake, AWS, and Braze.
  • Demonstrated experience in orchestrating marketing campaigns and performing audience segmentation.
  • Proficiency in ETL, data pipeline, and data warehousing technologies, especially within marketing contexts.
  • Experience with Python, PySpark, and other relevant data engineering tools.
  • Strong knowledge of relational SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with cloud data engineering platforms, particularly AWS services.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve data issues in marketing and CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of data privacy and security best practices in a marketing and CRM environment.
