Seequent is a world leader in the development of data visualization software. We are seeking a highly motivated technical expert with strong business acumen to support our Geological modelling solutions.
 
Working closely with the technical services and sales team and functions across Seequent, you will be a leader promoting the continuous improvement of service to our customers. This is a full-time, permanent role in our Vancouver office.

A senior level project geologist has advanced level expertise on the workflows facilitated by Leapfrog Geo, Edge, and Central for fast, accurate model building and stakeholder collaboration. In further contributing to the big picture, this role has will have the opportunity to diversify their skills by helping the software development teams understand user needs. Although based in Vancouver or Toronto, this role will still be part of the global Technical Services team, who are responsible for ensuring that we understand our global client’s needs. Travel and delivery of training might make up 15% of your time per month in Canada, USA and Mexico

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
• In combination with the EVP and commercial managers, develop growth revenue targets in license sales, support and training and project revenue.
• Be a team player by working with a larger technical team within North America and Globally.
• Organize and host user forums to discuss what's going on in the market and the current challenges and gather market intelligence.
• Collaborate with the business team by setting up demos, webinars and supplying product information to prospective customers who may be evaluating our software. 
• Be a 'CRM' champion by ensuring the accurate maintenance of the database and 'Closing the Gaps' process, which provides Product Management with vital market information relating to new product/feature development.

In order to be successful in this role, you should have:

• More than 8 years' work experience in mine operations, exploration, or consulting 
• University Degree in Geology or Geoscience, BSc or higher – PGeo designated or currently pursuing designation
• Must reside in the Vancouver or Toronto area for the job
• Proficient, high-level experience with Leapfrog Geo
• Expert in 3D Geological Modelling
• Eager to be a teacher and mentor
• Fluent English required. French or Spanish would be an additional asset
• Must have legal credentials to work in Canada or the USA
• Excellent interpersonal skills that lead to building rich working relationships
• Tenacity, persistent, and enthusiastic problem-solving approach
• Very curious and asks a lot of questions 
• Interested in the latest technology and geoscience innovations
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced and evolving environment
