What we need:

We are seeking an innovative, self-directed individual with exceptional leadership qualities to support excellence in high quality care in our Mental Health program while contributing to a strong organization-wide interprofessional practice environment. As a Professional Practice Leader in this program, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our organization operates efficiently, delivering high-quality care and adhering to regulations and continuously improving our practices.

Compensation:

BAND H

Range: $43.60 - $62.41

• Ensure safe and efficient high-quality care within the Mental Health program.
• Align clinical practice with Oak Valley Health’s Vision, Mission and Values.
• Integrate care, patient safety, and quality improvement.
• Use technology to enhance care, teaching, and research.
• Develop and motivate a cohesive team.
• Support educational strategies to enhance staff knowledge in professional practice and patient care.

Provision of Care:

• Develop and implement strategies to enhance care provision.
• Collaborate on care models aligned with patient requirements and system changes.
• Evaluate and revise practices based on healthcare trends and patient needs.
• Monitor practice standards and quality indicators, focusing on patient safety and experience.
• Implement evidence-based onboarding and education programs for nursing and allied health professionals.

Practice Leadership:

• Promote a culture of clinical inquiry, innovation, and evidence-based practice.
• Support staff development and advancement of clinical practice.
• Ensure organizational practices align with standards and regulations.
• Develop policies, procedures, and standards supporting evidence-based practice.
• Provide practice expertise to committees and working groups.

Program Development:

• Lead and support new clinical and organizational program development.
• Collaborate to achieve optimal patient care and meet program goals.
• Engage in and lead interprofessional research activities.
• Provide consultation on practice standards and professional development.
• Recommend clinical initiatives based on healthcare trends and financial constraints.

Quality Improvement:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate and improve clinical practice quality.
• Analyze data to assess patient care quality and develop improvement strategies.
• Participate in quality improvement events and Accreditation processes.
• Implement quality projects promoting excellence in patient care.
• Ensure compliance with professional documentation standards and health regulations.

• Regulated Health Professional with 10 years of clinical experience working in Mental Health services required.
• Master's degree in your health discipline, Health Leadership, Education or equivalent required.
• 5 years' demonstrated leadership experience is required.
• 5 years of familiarity with and application of current legislation and practice standards is preferred.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and motivate.
• Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal and interprofessional collaborative practice, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proven abilities in complex analysis, critical thinking and problem solving.
• Proven evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Computer proficiency, preferably in MS office and Meditech EMR.
• Demonstrated good attendance and performance record with the ability to maintain this same standard.
• Demonstrated commitment to a safe environment for staff, patients and families by working in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and related Hospital policies.
