The Position:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Category Advisor / Sales Analyst within our Conair division.

This position will support a large, national retail account to drive product sales and category performance through a focus on analytics, data, reporting, strategies and programs that deliver on goals for the account.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete category reviews, including sales, market trends, opportunity gaps, space to sales, competitive analysis
  • Identify innovative ideas for the category within strategy
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance: items opportunity rankings, underperforming items, supply chain, promotions opportunities
  • Analyze regional differences for the category and recommend segmentation opportunities
  • Identify emerging trends and forecast impacting the business
  • Measure the impact of new launches and early reads
  • Develop forecasts, reports, and dashboards that provide insights into sales performance, opportunities, and customer behavior
  • Work directly with the account and with the sales and marketing teams to develop and refine sales strategies and market plans
  • Perform store SKU analysis to maximize sales and inventory by store and by region
  • Provide analysis for promotions and key events including selling highlights, opportunities, price point effectiveness and recommendations for improvements
  • Provide analysis and recommendations for potential new product additions within categories and forecasting of new products.
  • Provide independent analysis of the competitive marketplace related to current and new products within the categories.
  • Conduct store inventory analysis for all Conair categories (e.g. appliances, grooming, accessories)
  • Planogram build, live and Prospace
  • Conduct other business analysis and participate in various projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 - 6 years related experience, preferably within the consumer packaged goods industry
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve and make appropriate recommendations and decisions
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Able to work independently and with initiative in a dynamic, team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate analytical information in a clear and concise manner
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), knowledge of SAP an asset
