  • Provide advice, conduct job search skills training, and organize activities geared towards facilitating employment for job seekers
  • Demonstrate strong case management skills, ensuring all assigned clients are receiving prompt and attentive service
  • Manage a caseload of 75 to over 100 clients, adjusting supports provided based on assessment of clients’ individual needs, strengths, and capabilities
  • Actively contribute to achieving both individual and team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand and document individuals’ strengths, needs, abilities, and relevant factors associated with employment
  • Continually monitor and tap into the local job market to identify and pursue suitable opportunities for clients
  • Engage in regular case conferencing activities with team members, referring job seekersto employment opportunities

CAREER DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST REQUIREMENTS
  • Preferred Education: Post-secondary certificate, degree, or diploma in a relevant field, Career Development Practitioner Certificate an asset
  • Experience: Demonstrated background in a fast-paced, customer-centric setting, track record of consistently surpassing expectations and achieving goals within Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and:
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities coupled with efficient time management skills.
  • Possess a high level of tact and diplomacy in handling various situations.
  • Exceptional ability to connect and communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
  • Strong proficiency in both written and verbal communication.
  • Proficient in producing comprehensive and well-structured documentation
  • Criminal record check is required.
