This national team has earned an exceptional reputation through its successful delivery of multidisciplinary infrastructure projects in Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Take overall responsibility for the coordination of the delivery of multidisciplinary transportation projects with other Transportation Departments and other corporate business units.
- Oversee and ensure financial performance of the individual projects.
- Demonstrate leadership to motivate and maximize individual performance.
- Oversee project teams to establish client needs and coordination of work.
- Mentor junior and intermediate staff.
- Develop the client base and project experience of the department.
- Engage with clients, teaming partners, and other stakeholders to promote the design capabilities of the department.
- Provide excellent customer service to our clients, fostering repeat business.
- Develop new business for the Transportation department through business development activities.
- Participate with Go/No go decisions to pursue new opportunities.
- Work with our Business Development team to respond to requests for proposals including preparation of work plans and fees.
Qualifications:
- Professional Engineering license.
- Minimum 10 years of project or design management experience leading engineering design projects and leading multi-discipline engineering teams.
- Experience in leading projects utilizing industry-recognized design delivery processes, software, and project delivery platforms (i.e. OpenRoads, Civil 3D) is an asset.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills combined with excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
- Commitment to quality service excellence.
- Experience managing project financials and project deliverables.
- Strong working relationship with clients, both municipal and provincial.
- Experience with Alternative Project Delivery such as Design-Build, P3, or AFP delivery model for transportation infrastructure is an asset.
