We are currently seeking qualified candidates NDT TECHNICIANS to support our operations in Saint John, NB. This role provides a variety of challenge and learnings within the NDT Disciplines, as well as growth and leadership development opportunities for the right candidate. It also presents an opportunity to work full time in the Saint John area with occasional travel required.

Key Accountabilities Include:

  • The NDE Technician is responsible for safely and accurately conducting non-destructive testing and reporting.
  • Set up and calibrate NDT equipment and maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct tests with appropriate NDT technique(s) SOP’s.
  • Interpret, evaluate, and accurately document results.
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the method in which certified.
  • Must be familiar with the codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized by the employer.
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Obtain and analyze information skillfully.
  • Edit and present numerical data effectively.
  • Other related duties as required by the Branch lead.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

  • CGSB certification in NDT methods (Level II MT/PT/ Level I UT/CEDO)
  • RT Level ll, and or UT Level ll, as well as CWB Level I or II and API 653 Certification would be an additional asset.
  • Technical background in NDT methods / procedures, and knowledge of NDT equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relations with co-workers and clients.
  • Attention to details and accurate reporting.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License.
  • Exceptional safety culture and quality awareness.
  • Able to do physical work, work at heights and within confined spaces.
