Our client is seeking a SR Project Manager with cloud and infrastructure experience to support the Small Modular Reactor (SMR)/Nuclear Development team

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead information technology projects within our Small Modular Reactor (SMR)/Nuclear Development team. The successful candidate will manage cloud and infrastructure projects, focusing on planning, procurement, and execution within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, track, report, and implement projects ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery with high-quality standards.
  • Manage procurement processes, ensuring all project-related purchases align with the set budgets and timelines.
  • Utilize client’s Project Management framework and templates aligned with Canadian nuclear management regulations.
  • Collaborate with Cloud Architects, Developers, Engineers, and end-users to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Utilize project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera for tracking and reporting.
  • Employ MS Office tools (Excel, MS Visio, SharePoint, PowerPoint) for project documentation and reporting.
  • Perform light change management activities as needed to support project transitions.
  • Work within a regulated, document-centric environment ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide technical oversight and understanding of cloud infrastructure technologies, primarily Microsoft Azure.

Must-Haves:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager
  • Cloud infrastructure, project experience
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft platform; MS Teams, SharePoint, Power Apps, and Power BI.
  • Successfully pass identity verification, background check including electronic fingerprinting, and CSIS Level 1 security clearance.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Based in Regina.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification.
  • Proficiency in tracking and project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
  • Experience working with DevOps, IT, Cybersecurity, Data, Development, Architecture, and Operations teams.
  • ITIL certification.
  • PROSCI certification.
  • IAEA training in security and information technology.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment.
  • Experience with document-centric environments.
  • Technical understanding of Cloud infrastructures technologies (AWS, Azure) and/or other SaaS technologies.
