Nous cherchons à amplifier notre impact et sommes à la recherche d'un(e) contrôleur(se) adjoint(e) pour superviser les finances quotidiennes de l'entreprise, développer des politiques et processus financiers, et travailler en étroite collaboration avec l'équipe de direction sur des projets majeurs.

Pour réussir dans ce rôle, vous devez être prêt(e) à vous impliquer directement, tout en étant capable de contribuer à un niveau stratégique. Il est essentiel de porter une attention exceptionnelle aux détails, d'être un(e) penseur(se) analytique et d'avoir la volonté d'accompagner les nouveaux arrivants à mesure que le département des finances se développe. Notre contrôleur(se) adjoint(e) idéal(e) est une personne qui a un sens aigu des affaires, qui travaille à obtenir un poste de contrôleur(se), et qui adhère à notre mission de rendre ce monde meilleur.

Ce que vous ferez:

  • Diriger les fonctions de comptabilité, de comptes fournisseurs, de comptes clients et de paie de l'entreprise.
  • Superviser le processus d'établissement de rapports financiers et de conformité (mission d'examen).
  • Développer et mettre en œuvre des contrôles internes autour des processus financiers pour améliorer l'efficacité.
  • Superviser et soutenir le/la technicien(ne) comptable junior et l'administrateur(trice) de la paie.
  • Créer des rapports de gestion mettant en évidence les indicateurs clés pour soutenir les chefs de service.
  • Collaborer avec le/la directeur(trice) financier(ère) pour une gestion efficace de la planification financière et de la trésorerie.
  • Assister le/la directeur(trice) financier(ère) dans divers projets ponctuels (recherche, financement, opérations, etc.)

  • La capacité à résoudre des problèmes et à sortir des sentiers battus.
  • Des résultats remarquables dans des rôles ou projets antérieurs

Ce que vous apporterez:

  • Candidats basés à Montréal uniquement (les candidatures internationales ne seront pas considérées)
  • Minimum de 2 ans d'expérience dans un rôle similaire (contrôle de gestion, planification financière, cabinet d'audit)
  • Excellente maîtrise d'Excel

Autres atouts appréciés :

  • Titre comptable professionnel : CA, CMA ou CGA
  • Expérience avec des logiciels de comptabilité tels que Quickbooks, Xero, etc.
  • Expérience avec des logiciels de paie tels que Wagepoint, ADP, etc.

Job overview

We are looking to amplify our impact and are currently looking for an Assistant Controller to oversee the day-to-today finances of the Company, develop financial policies and processes, and work closely with the leadership team on major initiatives.

To be successful in this role you must be willing to be hands on, as well as capable of contributing at a strategic level. You must have an exceptional attention to detail, an analytical thinker, and a desire to mentor newcomers as the finance department grows. Our ideal Assistant Controller is someone who has a strong business acumen, is working towards a Controller position, and is aligned with our mission to make this world a better place.

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Lead the Bookkeeping, A/P, A/R & Payroll functions of the business
  • Oversee the financial reporting and compliance process (Review engagement)
  • Develop & implement internal controls around financial processes to improve efficiency
  • Oversee & support junior accounting tech and payroll administrator
  • Create management reports highlighting key metrics to support departmental leads
  • Collaborate with the CFO for effective FP&A & Treasury Management
  • Assist the CFO in various ad-hoc projects (Research, Funding, Operations, Etc.)

  • Strong organizational skills & attention to detail
  • Ability to problem solve and think outside the box
  • High achiever with proven success in previous roles or projects

Requirements:

  • Montreal based candidates only (International Candidates will not be considered)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role (Controllership, FP&A, Audit Firm)
  • Highly proficient in Excel

Other valued assets:

  • Professional accounting designation: CA, CMA, or CGA
  • Experience with accounting softwares such as Quickbooks, Xero, Etc.
  • Experience with payroll softwares such as Wagepoint, ADP, Etc.
