Stratford Orthodontics is looking for a passionate and energetic full-time permanent Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our well-established orthodontic practice in Stratford, ON.

What you will be doing - key responsibilities:
• Lead the patient experience through exceptional customer service skills.
• Take intra-oral photographs
• Taking impressions
• Preparation and maintenance of the treatment/clinical area.
• Cleaning and sterilization of instruments and handpieces.
• Inventory management and replenishment of supplies.
• Emergency preparedness, including knowledge of protocols, First Aid, and CPR.
• Maintenance of emergency drug kits.
• Interpretation of Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Accurate recording of patient data on records or charts.
• Patient education on oral health and appliance care.
• Vital sign assessment.
• Patient Consults.
• Ability to perform other duties as required for the efficient operation of the practice.

What you bring - qualifications:
• Registered Practical Nurse Diploma from an accredited institution
• Active Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; proficiency with orthodontic management software systems is an asset.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written), with a proven ability to build strong relationships and rapport with patients, parents, doctors, fellow team members and the community.
• Keen attention-to-detail and time management skills.
• Strong conflict resolution, problem solving and decision-making skills.
