We are currently seeking a Director of Transportation Aviation to join our Transportation team. This position oversees program development, safety standards, infrastructure improvements, and stakeholder consultations to ensure the safe and efficient operation of Yukon’s airports and aerodromes.

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree in Business or Public Administration, economics, social sciences, engineering or equivalent.
  • Significant experience leading, managing and developing human resources.
  • Experience developing and/or implementing strategies or action plans for government programs or initiatives.
  • Experience in client relationship management, stakeholder relations and negotiation.
  • Experience developing policies, plans, procedures and guidelines.
  • Experience with First Nation Governments, Municipal Governments and other stakeholders.
  • Experience in an Aviation setting an asset.

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.

Additional information

This is a designated position within the Yukon public service which requires the following condition(s) of employment and job requirements:

  • Regular travel (inside and outside of the territory)
