Electrical EngineeringThis is a training/development position for learning and acquiring experience in a variety of engineering work activities in office, sales, plant, field settings. Must be registered or will register shortly with Professional Engineers of Ontario and working towards becoming a professional engineer.
Undertaking all phases of the engineering design process for electrical systems, lighting, distributions systems etc for nuclear and non-nuclear clients.
Your day to day:- Prepares drawings, designs, calculations, analyses etc. in accordance with established codes, standards, drawings, or other client specifications
- Attending site visits for assessment of the existing electrical systems and equipment and assist in preparation of the condition assessment reports
- Provides assistance with the creation and submission of electrical drawings, technical reports, memos, specifications and calculations
- Will also assist in preparing final construction documents and reports
- Design and drafting for the preparation of Electrical drawings under direction from Project Engineer or Project Manager on various projects
- Review drawings, calculations, specifications and other engineering documentation for compliance with contract requirements, good engineering practices, codes, and standards
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical), or Applied Science or its equivalent in a relevant subject
0-4 years experience with typical electrical engineering duties. Any experience with power engineering, instrumentation and control, PLC/DCS type systems, NEC and NFPA is great to have but not a requirement.
Good reading, writing and communication skills are essential. Microsoft office and CAD skills are desirable.
